Turn-Ons, Indie Attitude, music lover website
Indie music lovers, welcome to Turn-Ons Indie Attitude Turn-Ons, Indie Attitude en version française
Turn-Ons Indie Attitude, Lex Gatineau
Welcome to Turn-Ons, Indie Attitude! This website is dedicated to all the indie music lovers and features live pictures of bands of various styles, taken along my musical journey, in both France and England.
As I love to discover new bands and share my favourites, I hope this website will also help to bring new artists to the audience's attention. The newly-opened blog will feature tracks I really like or introduce musical events. The coming-soon "bands" section will feature interviews, musical introductions and so on... And last but not least, the coming-soon too "venues" section will be dedicated to these looking for cool and accessible places to play.
Enjoy your visit here! Lex

What's up on Turn-Ons, Indie Attitude?
Where to play? Acklam Village, Portobello, London, UK

May 17th 2013 - I'm happy to welcome a first London venue in Turn-Ons Indie Attitude's "where to play?" section: Acklam Village, a cool bar located in Portobello. Thanks to them!

Où jouer ? Présentation de salles de concerts, associations, cafés et pubs rock

May 9th 2013 - After a short stay in London, which allowed me to recharge my batteries and make some musical encounters, I'm back with more motivation than ever to go on with the site, starting with the "venues/where to play?" project, which aims to to help DIY artists find nice small venues to perform. The section's finally open! I invite you to go take a closer look. You can already discover the musical association from Angers (Loire Valley, France) Le Temporel, who inaugurates the section. Thanks to them! :)

The May playlist's online, on the right, below the latest pictures. This time, I've selected 13 tracks and, as you'll see, that's a quite eclectic mix.

As you can see in the latest pictures, after discovering them in Angers, where they gave me an incredible energy shot, I went to see Brest band Mnemotechnic live again, this time in Nantes. As I leapt at the opportunity to interview them, they'll have the honour to inaugurate the forthcoming "bands" section, coming very soon...

Coming soon too on Turn-Ons: pictures of the High Sausages live at Le Temporel, as well as pictures of English bands Lola Colt, Towns and Tripwires that I could see live in London on May 2nd... So, please stay tuned! ;)

Drugstore Isabel Monteiro
April 17th 2013 - The next evening organized by the association from Anjou Le Temporel will take place next Saturday, April 20th. To read more about it, please check the BLOG.

Last Friday, April 12th, I went for the first time to T'es Rock Coco, a nice rock café in Angers, located in the area called "la Doutre". I could attend gigs by French bands No Pilot, The Magnets and Mnemotechnic (click on the bands's names to visit their Soundclouds). You can visit these gigs's photo galleries by clicking the pictures on the right.

Le Temporel, Angers
March 12th 2013 - Time has now come to launch version 2.0 of "Turn-Ons Reloaded". ;) I want this site to be more than a simple photo gallery and to be helpful to new bands in further ways.
I thought it would be interesting to have a special part on the site, introducing rock cafes, intimate concert rooms or musical associations that might suit young bands, in both France and England. That's what the "venue" part will be about.
This idea came to my mind after I attended my first show organized by French association "le Temporel", in Angers (Loire Valley, France), because I think what they have to offer is a great opportunity for new bands. The "venue" part should describe precisely what the various featured venues/associations have to offer: will you have to pay anything to play there, will you get any money from the shows, do you need to bring your own sound engineer, what's the capacity of the room and so on... Please, don't hesitate to let me know what you think of this idea and what more should appear in the descriptions.
I'm also going to open a blog, in which I'll talk of musical events, new tracks I particularly liked, etc... There's a lot to do, sometimes I wish my days were 48 hours long! lol
